First Non-Beta version of Google Chrome

chromelogoGoogle Chrome just announced that browser Google Chrome is not in Beta phase anymore.  Since they released the software, they have made fourteen updates and this is their fifteenth and first non-beta version of Google Chrome.

According to the post they have made, Google chrome has now more than 10 million active users.  For those who are not familiar with numbers and browsers statistics, you can visit Browser Market Share at Net Applications.  It’s actually quite a success considering they have more users than Opera and an established web browser.

In my opinion, chrome has a lot to go. They still haven’t implemented their RSS feature which is leading me to believe it’s to promote Google Reader.  I’m sure Google Chrome is going to be famous for not having an RSS reader. Her is what they said about this issue:

We are working to add some common browser features such as form autofill and RSS support in the near future.

They are also going to make Google Chrome available for different operating system users which I think it’s going to bring a lot of new users.  Google chrome is certainly going to fit in nicely in Linux world.
